Jeff Wirrick, President
I discovered the sport of triathlon in 1985 and for the next several years competed in many local races. After getting married, 30 years now, and having children, 3 girls, I stepped away from the sport for many years. About 15 years ago some friends reintroduced me to the sport and why I loved it to begin with. While my knees no longer allow me to run you can find me most weekends on the Panama City side of the bridge participating in a group ride. Hammer Down has been a great outlet to meet new people, that share a common interest, to train and race in a safe and encouraging environment. if you are on the fence about joining, I can promise you won't regret it.

Teresa Lucas, Secretary/Treasurer
I have run since I was a little girl. We ran as a family growing up. When I got older, I started running marathons, then ultras. Then, upon moving to PCB, I dabbled in Triathlons.
I have served on the Board as treasurer and secretary since 2016, when we revamped HD. It has been an honor to serve on the board and witness it grow. We serve great athletes that love to give back to the community.

John Teegarden, Membership Director
I started running 8 years ago after losing about 100 pounds, mainly as a way to help keep the weight off. However, in addition to getting in (and staying in) much better shape than I ever was before, I developed a love for the sport. I have found community among runners, and enjoy sharing our common bond together.
After serving on the board of a local running club in Grapevine, TX, we moved to Panama City. I was thrilled to have found Hammerdown and love the opportunity to give back to the greater run/bike/swim community.

I had a delayed start in the realm of running. It wasn't until 2010 that I first delved into this activity, and I quickly discovered a deep affection for the personal hurdles it presented, along with the thrill of competition. Subsequently, I ventured into Triathlons, relishing the combined challenge of the three activities.
In 2020, I became a part of HammerDown with the goal of forging connections with like-minded athletes and being a part of a motivating and inspiring community. Since 2022, I've had the privilege of serving as a Board member, and I'm delighted to witness the organization's expanding outreach both within the club and throughout our community at-large.

I started endurance sports in 2007. The enjoyment brought me to several races, including the PCB Full Ironman in 2013. I completed the local Half Ironman, every year from 2008-2017.. Since that time, I have done adventure running and many cycling events.
In 2016, I joined the Hammer Down board. Our club has grown to many supportive athletes of all levels. The outstanding part is we give back to the community.
